Yesterday we discussed the 2004 Dodge Ram 6 Speed Cummins Diesel. That got me thinking "What constitutes a Bro truck"

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

In stock form, the Ram I would not call a "Bro Truck" It's a good truck, built for Hauling, towing and utility work. There is nothing wrong with that at all.

Don't get me wrong. A lift kit is useful, especially with Jeeps and that sort of thing where they actually spend time offroad, or on the trails. It just seems like the majority of "Bro Truck" Silverados, F-Series and Rams aren't ever taken anywhere besides the city streets.

So, what shouldn't be done?

First of all. Stickers like these. Those Exhaust pipes also.

Kinja'd!!!

Ultimately excessive lift. Lift is good, lift that's dangerous off road is not.

Kinja'd!!!

Doing this.

Kinja'd!!!

No, That's not an Earthquake. It's just a Bro Truck. Don't worry.

Kinja'd!!!

You can make a monster out of anything. Even a Dually+Manual truck, but in stock form, then it's not a Bro truck.

The Jeep Wrangler, on the other hand were made for Off Roading, so lifts and off road tires are fine in my book.

Why does Kinja keep fucking up the order of text?

If you have any other ideas about what makes a Bro truck, Lemme know.

Crazy fuel system, new clutch and flywheel, twin turbos, recently got aftermarket pistons during this winter big rebuild. He painted the whole block fire engine red which is cool cuz you can see it from the front wheel arches peaking out underneath

"Just under" 1000 lbs foot and close to 500 "horses"

I'm looking to buy a miata next year as my first car and my main concern is: Bro trucks . Driven by people who don't care about the safety of others, and they certainly wouldn't like a "girly" car like the miata. I'm abosolutely terrified of them because I'm not sure if they will be able to see me. I just had a dream about that silverado running over my car, stopped only by my roll cage. Are these concerns valid? I was thinking about putting a CB antenna or a flag on the back to give me more visibility but I don't know. I live in the south, but in Research Triangle Parl (Raleigh) so I don't see many of them here, but at my university (which I might by transferring from) they are everywhere and with huge lifts. Is there anything to worry about?

When it comes to lifted trucks... lifts are kind of like a penis. Anything above 6 inches may be fun to look at but it doesn't really do you any good.

True! ...we try to put a line under each picture, and kinkya destroys that effort, by resizing the pictures to the left and piling the text to the right, so that all our job doesn't make sense anymore. And now I'm going to share this comment to the front page to see if someone else agrees with me, and i'll be waiting to see how much time it lasts there before someone deletes it. Because this is kinkya, like it or not and not that it matters.

Edited: Of course my repost didn't last. And now I swear to God that I'll be the one to delete all the reposts by the others that I can find. It's a promise.

I'm really not sure. Where I live there isn't much road hierarchy, and if you just avoid the Bro Trucks, then it should be fine.

If someone says something like that about my XJ, I tell them it's only a 3" lift because I don't need to overcompensate.

Not necessarily, but something tells me the people with these stickers aren't generally open to prostate play.

I think one of the craziest things i've driven was a 2006 F-350 that was used to sled pull. The turbo whistle made me laugh during the entire road tests at the dealership.

Your main concern is drunk bro-truck drivers hitting your parked car. That seems to be a frequent problem in my neck of the woods.
